Gecko Creative Writing

Stephen Ferrett’s Collection of Poetry & Children’s Books

Welcome

Stephen Ferrett, founder of Gecko Creative Writing, turned to poetry and children’s literature as a way to navigate and cope with the profound grief and mental health challenges he faced after the tragic loss of his son to suicide. Through writing, Stephen discovered a path to process his trauma, finding comfort in creative expression and sharing stories that bring hope and healing to others. His work reflects a deep resilience, drawing from his experiences to create powerful, compassionate stories that resonate with children and adults alike, fostering understanding and emotional connection across his audience.
